The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) General Secretary Jayalalithaa announced the list of 227 candidates for the May 16 Assembly elections.Releasing the list here on Monday, Ms. Jayalalithaa declared that she will re-contest from R.K.Nagar constituency in Chennai. Ms. Jayalalithaa also said that she will start her campaign from RK Nagar constituency on April 9.State Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam will contest from Bodinayakkanur but Electricity Minister Natham R. Viswanathan will move to Athur constituency. Prominent among those who have been left out are Higher Education Minister P. Palaniappan and IT Minister Mukkur Subramanian.The AIADMK supremo has balanced the list with plenty of new faces while leaving out many sitting MLAs and by giving seats to old-timers and loyalists besides fielding 31 women candidates, including herself.Former DMK MLA Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, former DMDK MLAs Panruti S. Ramachandran and Mafoi K. Pandiarajan, and former PMK MLA M. Kalaiarasu, who defected to the AIADMK, have also been given ticket. She has also fielded P.T. Elangovan, former PMK MP, who fell out with party founder S. Ramadoss, in the Dharmapuri constituency.Leaders of the AIADMK alliance have been allotted the remaining seats. Actor R. Sarathkumar, leader of the All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (Tiruchendur) and comedian Karunas, leader of the Mukkulathor Pulipadai (Tiruvadanai) secured a seat each.Republican Party leader C.K. Tamilarasan (Maduranthagam-reserved), Tamil Nadu Kongu Ilaignar Peravai leader U. Thaniarasu (Kangeyam), Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (Nagapattinum and Ottanchathiram), and Tamil Maanila Muslim League leader Sheik Dawood (Kadayanallur) are the other candidates. All of them will contest in Two Leaves symbol.

यहां सोमवार को सूची जारी करते हुए सुश्री जयललिता ने घोषणा की चेन्नई में R.K.Nagar सीट से है कि वह फिर से प्रतियोगिता। सुश्री जयललिता ने यह भी कहा है कि वह 9 अप्रैल को आरके नगर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से अपने अभियान शुरू कर देंगे।
राज्य के वित्त मंत्री ओ पनीरसेल्वम बोडीनायकनुर लेकिन बिजली मंत्री Natham आर विश्वनाथन से चुनाव लड़ने Athur निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के लिए कदम होगा। जो लोग बाहर छोड़ दिया गया है के बीच प्रमुख उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री पी पी और आईटी मंत्री Mukkur सुब्रमण्यम कर रहे हैं।
अन्नाद्रमुक प्रमुख नए चेहरों के बहुत सारे हैं, जबकि कई मौजूदा विधायकों को बाहर छोड़ने के साथ और 31 महिला उम्मीदवारों को मैदान में उतारने, खुद सहित इसके अलावा पुराने टाइमर और वफादारों को सीटें देकर सूची संतुलित है।
पूर्व डीएमके विधायक Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, पूर्व डीएमडीके विधायकों Panruti एस रामचंद्रन और Mafoi लालकृष्ण Pandiarajan, पीएमके और पूर्व विधायक एम Kalaiarasu, जो अन्नाद्रमुक को दलबदल को भी टिकट दिया गया है। वह भी मैदान में उतारा है पी.टी. एलंगोवन, पूर्व सांसद पीएमके, जो पार्टी के संस्थापक एस रामदास के साथ बाहर गिर गया, धर्मपुरी निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में।
अन्नाद्रमुक गठबंधन के नेताओं ने शेष सीटें आवंटित किए गए हैं। अभिनेता आर सरथकुमार, अखिल भारतीय Samathuva मक्कल काची (तिरुचेंदूर) और हास्य अभिनेता Karunas, Mukkulathor Pulipadai के नेता (Tiruvadanai) के नेता एक सीट हासिल किया।
रिपब्लिकन पार्टी के नेता सी.के. Tamilarasan (मदुरन्थकम-आरक्षित), तमिलनाडु कोंगु Ilaignar पैरवी नेता यू Thaniarasu (कंगेयम), Manithaneya मक्कल काची (Nagapattinum और Ottanchathiram), और तमिल मनीला मुस्लिम लीग के नेता शेख दाऊद (Kadayanallur) अन्य उम्मीदवार हैं। उन सभी को दो पत्तियां प्रतीक में चुनाव लड़ेगी।
